Riwayat began in 2026 with a simple belief: the clothes our families have worn for generations deserve a place in the way we dress today. Our founder, Arz, grew up surrounded by a love for both timeless traditional dresses and fresh, modern styles, and a belief that the two belong together Over time she noticed that finding a dress that honored that heritage and also suited modern life was harder than it should be. Riwayat was started to fill that gap.
The word riwayat means tradition, and it guides everything we do. We believe a dress should carry meaning, not just look beautiful.
